helse og utvikling av sykdom. Sammenhengen mellom helse og mat er b\u00e5de enkelt og vanskelig. Enkelt i den forstand at ren ubearbeidet mat generelt er bra for kroppen om vi ikke spiser for mye.<\/p><p>Vanskelig fordi mye av den maten folk spiser her i vesten er ultraprossesert mat, hvor bestanddelene egentlig ikke er mat.<\/p><p>Begrepet ultraprossesert mat inneb\u00e6rer at maten utsettes for ulike kjemiske prosesser og tilsettes stoffer som gj\u00f8r maten smakfull og den har ofte lang holdbarhet. Det er ofte slik at jo lenger en ingredienslisten er p\u00e5 emballasjen jo mer ultraprossesert er matvaren.<\/p><p>Hva skal vi egentlig spise er det mange som lurer p\u00e5 og hvordan kan mat p\u00e5virke min helse? Svaret p\u00e5 dette er ikke en diett for alle eller bestemte matvarer. Det finnes mange \u00abern\u00e6ringseksperter\u00bb som mener de sitter p\u00e5 svaret. V\u00e5rt svar innenfor funksjonell medisin er at hvilken mat som er best for hvert enkelt individ i stor grad er individuelt.<\/p><p>F\u00f8rst og fremst er det viktig med en erkjennelse av at det er en sammenheng mellom mat og helse og hvilken funksjon maten har. Mat er b\u00e5de byggesteiner og drivstoff, s\u00e5 hvilken mat som tilf\u00f8res kroppen og ford\u00f8yes er av stor betydning. Mat har ogs\u00e5 en medisinsk virkning for at kroppen skal kunne utf\u00f8re de prosessene som er n\u00f8dvendig for \u00e5 leve.
